The SMART SERIAL 6 is an intelligent multi-port serial communications card for use with Power Macintosh 7200, 7500, 7600, 8200, 8500 and 9500; Performa 5400 and 6400 and all MacOS based personal computers which utilise the PCI bus.
The SMART SERIAL 6 is supplied with MacOS Drivers and supports Apple’s Open Transport Networking architecture. The PCI card provides six additional serial ports, two of which support data transfer speeds up to 2 Mbps.
With its flexibility, the SMART SERIAL 6 is ideal for use with bulletin board software, remote access server software, fax server software and software based routers. It is also suitable for connecting multiple serial devices such as modems, tablets, label printers and Visioneer Paperport.
